Katalyst wants to leverage the current work on Inclusive Market Development (IMD) through academia. In this regards, Katalyst and Consiglieri Private Limited (CPL) has signed a co-facilitation contract to identify and implement Katalyst’s goal.
CPL on behalf of Katalyst is working with Rural Development Academy (RDA), Bogra to align its Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development (PGDRD) according to the needs of the market. Three workshops have been planned to achieve this objective. The first workshop was held in RDA (27 April 2015), Bogra to develop the list of courses according to the market demands. The second workshop focused on identifying content for the courses (that were finalized in workshop 1) was held from 3-5 September in Grand Sultan, Srimongol. There were participants from the private sector, faculty members from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU) and RDA. The participants were divided into different groups where they discussed the different topics to be included in each course. Each group had a generous mix of academia and industry representatives so as to ensure market demands are well incorporated in the courses. The workshop was co-moderated by Saifullah Shovon, Chief Strategy Officer, Agribusiness at ACI Limited and Professor. Dr. M Nazrul Islam, Training Management Specialist, Department of Agricultural Extenstion (DAE). Prof. Dr. Mahbubar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, BSMRAU along with MA Matin, Director General, RDA, and other esteemed members of RDA were all present at the workshop. Katalyst was present at the event and shared the organisation’s goal and strategy.
