Katalyst and National Academy for Planning and Development (NAPD) developed a course on ‘Public Private Partnership (PPP)’ to orient primarily the public sector officials on the topic. PPP as a topic has received much attention and interest among the public sector. Both the sectors have shown interest to utilise the modalities as it offers opportunity to share benefits and optimise resources utilisation. In line with the need of the public sector, Katalyst and NAPD (in association of Consiglieri Private Ltd.) jointly worked to develop a course. A special feature of the course has been the use of practical experiences of Katalyst in working with both the public and private sector an effective relationship can be developed.
The course has been offered with the developed curriculum to 35 public sector officials of various government ministries, agencies and departments. High officials of both the organisations were present in the certificate giving ceremony on 25 May 2016 at NAPD conference room. Ms. Kaniz Fatema, Director General of NAPD has expressed her gratitude and welcomed further cooperation with Katalyst. She also said that in future, NAPD will invite private sector representatives in this class. Mr. Markus Ehmann, General Manager, Katalyst gave the certificate to the students. A. M. Nashiul Kamal, Addl. Director General of NAPD was also present in the ceremony.
