Katalyst signed its first partnership grant agreement with SIRIUS Marketing and Social Research Ltd. on 4 September, 2014 to incorporate media behavior of rural audience along with existing urban Television Rating Points (TRP) viewership data.
Mr. Markus Ehmann, General Manager of Katalyst, and Mr. Sanjay Pal, Managing Director of SIRIUS Marketing and Social Research Ltd., signed the partnership agreement. The partnership is developed to attribute potential unrecognized viewership of rural areas of Bangladesh in the mainstream viewership data resources.
It is envisaged, the improved database will facilitate input companies, multinational and national consumer goods companies, to reach poor farmers in the rural areas through sponsorship and product advertisement for agriculture based programmes. Also, the viewership data will help the media and production houses to determine the demand pattern of the agriculture shows for the farmers on television channels. Katalyst and SIRIUS Marketing and Social Research Limited’s officials were also present in the contract signing event.
