Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS) in association with Katalyst organized a workshop on ‘Inclusive Market Development’ on 25th November 2015. The purpose of the workshop was to sensitize young researchers from think tanks and consultancy firms as well as journalists and lecturers from agriculture universities on the concepts of Inclusive Market Development (IMD).
Dr. Nazneen Ahmed, Senior Research Fellow, BIDS, presented the concepts of IMD with some local examples. Peter Davis, Visiting Research Fellow, University College London, shared his experiences of IMD from other developing and developed countries. The participants were then divided into small groups where they brainstormed different sectors/products with a huge potential for IMD. Following this, each group presented and discussed their ideas with the audience.
Dr. K A S Murshid, Director General, BIDS, handed out a certificate of participation to all the participants.
