Agri-Business for Trade Competitiveness Project (ATC-P), branded as Katalyst and implemented by Swisscontact, organized a workshop to disseminate the findings of the study on “Roles and Opportunities for Private sector In Agro-Processing Industry of Bangladesh” jointly with Innovision Consulting Private Limited.
The workshop was held on September 25, in Hotel Ascott Palace Ltd. Representatives from various donor agencies, development projects and government officials were present at the workshop. Representatives from private companies, Business Membership Organizations and various associations engaged in agro-business also participated. Management Team from Katalyst and Study Team from Innovision presented the findings together.
The main objective of the workshop was to share the findings of the study which was to identify potential areas of engagement for the private sector and also to get inputs on the findings from the industry stakeholders and experts. The research focused on Vegetable, Maize, Fish and Potato sector where Katalyst has been working. Other sectors having high potential, such as turmeric, chili and pulses in Agro-processing were also included in the research.
